Nicolas Cage’s rarely-seen son is turning heads with his stunning transformation in one outing with his famous dad. The young man’s new look marks a striking departure from his previous low-profile appearances.
Nicolas Cage and his 18-year-old son, Kal-El Coppola, were recently seen vacationing in Venice, Italy. Walking through the sunny streets, Kal-El stood out with a noticeably different look from when he was younger.

During their Italian getaway, the 60-year-old actor wore a multicolored buttoned shirt and pants, while Kal-El opted for matching black track pants and a shirt, sporting long hair and a beard. These stylish outfits subtly reflected the father-son duo’s strong, low-key relationship.
Nicolas and Kal-El’s Italian vacation marked their latest public sighting together. They were last seen together in June 2019 when they celebrated Father’s Day in Los Angeles with Nicolas’s ex-wife and Kal-El’s mom, Alice Kim.

On that occasion, Kal-El wore a gray jacket over a black shirt, paired with red shorts and black-and-red sneakers, accessorized with glasses and a small crossbody bag. Nicolas, on the other hand, donned a black jacket, a printed shirt, and shiny leather pants.

The Father’s Day celebration highlighted Nicolas’s dedication to being involved in his son’s life, despite his split from Alice. The former couple first met in February 2004 when Alice was working as a server at a Los Angeles restaurant. Their relationship quickly developed.

Kal-El’s parents got engaged two months later and tied the knot at a ranch in Northern California in late 2004. However, they parted ways in 2016 but remain on good terms. Nicolas has continued to be a devoted father and now has two more children.

Besides Kal-El, Nicolas has a son, Weston Coppola, from his past relationship with Christina Fulton. He also has a daughter, August Francesca Coppola Cage, with his current wife, Riko Shibata. In a recent interview with The New Yorker, Nicolas opened up about his parenting experiences.

In the interview, Nicolas said having children with different mothers wasn’t his initial plan, but he has embraced this reality. He emphasized that “every child is different” and requires different levels of attention.

He also discussed his journey of continuous improvement as a father. “I think that’s just truth. I mean, we do the best we can. I’m trying to be the best father I can be, and the best husband I can be, but it’s something that is always evolving and learning and growing,” he explained.

Adding to his reflections on fatherhood, his commitment to his family has also influenced his career choices. In an April 2022 interview with People, Nicolas said he turned down major roles in “Lord of the Rings” and “The Matrix” to spend more time with his family.
He does not want to work abroad as well. “Because I didn’t want to go to New Zealand for three years or Australia for three years because I needed to be home with my son Weston, that’s a fact,” he shared.

Nicolas continued, “First and foremost … there’s no version of Nick Cage in reality that doesn’t want to spend time with his children. There’s no version of Nick Cage that didn’t put family first over career.”
Nicolas Cage‘s commitment to family was clear during his recent Venice outing with Kal-El, where their strong bond was on display. Despite these changes, Nicolas’s dedication to his children shows that he prioritizes family above all else.
